Jokes in Family Guy You Don't Get

In the beginning of The Cleveland Show pilot episode Peter says "Cleveland Jr. aged faster than Kathleen Turner." we then see a cutway with Turner talking to her manager (I think) and she has gotten a leading role in a movie. "The Babe". Then she just hits a baseball and that's it.

I don't get it.

They currently show a commercial with Lee Majors selling a bionic hearing aid on late night cable television. The tagline is "It won't cost you 6 million dollars, but you'll think it's worth it."

Patrick Duffy and Victoria Principal showing up at the end of the Y2K episode. The infamous shower scene at the end of the ninth season of Dallas (which turned out to be "all a dream", thus reconning the entire season out of existence) happened when I was really, really young. Therefore, when I first saw it, I didn't get the joke at all.

In the 80s, Turner was a stunning woman who specialized in playing femme fatales or 'babes' (Body Heat, for example). Over the years, she got...shall we say, heavier. Her manager meant the Babe as in baseball legend Babe Ruth.

Two come to mind:

A cutaway where Peter is in a class, refuses to take a test, and throws the test at the instructor. The intructor says "Congratulations. That was the test" with Peter running out of the classroom with some song playing. What's the reference?

In the episode where they show a flashback to Nate Griffin coming to America: The captain is asleep and wakes up on his own raft made of logs and falls into the water. A song is playing about having a great summer. What's the reference?

Because someone on staff obviously finds the Osmonds to be incredibly funny for whatever reason. I personally think the "Osmond family wastes water" cutaway is funny because of the way they're drawn and voiced.

According to urbandictionary

That annoying guy that always talks about how cool he is, how tough he is, and acts like he is better than everyone. He tries to start **** with people and be a complete dorkhttp://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dick - usually unknowingly since he doesn't catch the fact that he's making a fool out of himself.

Basically the joke it about guys who know about 4 chords on the guitar, think they can write a song about nothing and somehow women will find them attractive because they think they have feelings and can play an instrument, not to mention the "College" version is the kind of guy who will drink an entire bottle Jack Daniels, Crown Royal, or other high end alcohol and save the damn empty bottle & put it on display for everyone else to see, also the College version sometimes like to put their speakers from their stereo in their window because the ENTIRE REST OF THE WORLD just HAAAASSSSS to listen to this SUM41 song.
