Job listings say the unemployed need not apply

LOL.

I applied for a couple. And made a thread on OT asking if I should look further into it. And the consensus was that it was a miserable existence. And if I could do ANYTHING else at all. Do that.

What I am saying is that I will live ultra lean if I have to, in order to score a half way decent job/living.

I can live this way til Sept 15th when my Hotel gig starts and be very happy.

Or I can forget the hotel job, and start at a car dealership today.

Shit ain't logical.

Ok get this shit, I apply for a help desk job. Didn't get the job. Interview went fine, or at least I thought so. Months later I go back a SECOND time, because they faggot they hired, wasn't "motivated" enough. So I didn't get the job the second time around either, and turns out the 2nd guy they hired instead of me, wasn't right for the job. I hope that place burns to the fucking ground one day

No I do.

I would argue NO. If they're so fucking stupid that they think that people would be bad employees if they like the color orange and therefore would not hire that person....they're fucking wrong and should be prevented from asking that.

It has NO bearing on my ability to do my job. This is why you can't ask about race, creed or other personal information. It doesn't have any impact on whether someone will turn out to be a good employee at all.

The same hold true for credit ratings.

Now....if they're just asking because you're curious. FUCK YOU. Don't ask because I may or may not tell you but it's my personal information and this is not a personal relationship....it's fucking business and it neeRAB to stay on a professional level.

What you fail to explain is:
A) How a lower credit rating makes someone a good or bad hire
B) How a higher credit rating makes someone a good or bad hire
C) Scientific evidence that correlates credit rating to employee performance.

Your point is invalid because you continue to claim that there is some correlation between job performance and credit rating. WHY? WHERE IS YOUR EVIDENCE?

If you can't produce evidence then really....it's just your feelings that are coming into play here.

So tell me.....in a non-finance job how can a credit rating possibly help a company make or prevent a bad hire?

because it's equivalent to asking an employee if they are married or not.

Now while you might be interested in the answer....it's none of your fucking business and has no bearing on whether or not I can do my job.

However, questions like this CAN and HAVE BEEN used to discriminate against all sorts of people in the past. It's not offensive to us until it happens to us.

Also....what's the best way to improve your credit rating?

I would argue that having a job that enables you to pay your bills on time will dramatically improve your credit rating. Hmm....so you are arguing that it's OK to prevent someone from doing the very thing that can dramatically change the very metric you're using to condemn them.

I'm sick of your hypothetical situations.

this is getting boring.

Fine....give all your fucking personal information to some nameless, faceless corporation. I don't give a fuck.....just don't expect me to follow your idiotic decision.

you're the one crying to ot about how you can't find a job. i'm the one that turned down jobs to stay on the sidelines and make more doing my own thing during the worst parts of this economy.

the only joke here is you, pal

Unless you desperately need a job. It can be good for a cry.

Fuck my life. I have 3 dollars in my bank account until August 3rd. And my phone gets shut off on the 29th.

At least I have a loaf of bread and peanut butter in my house.
