not around here they won't. car dealerships are hurting pretty bad. the ones in business are depending on used cars to stay in business.

yeah neither of them made $12/hr, in fact my dad was getting his business off the ground at the time, a lot of money went into that.

i mean it wasn't forever, and by the time i was a senior in HS and making some cash (which i always kicked back some to my parents as "rent") they were finally out from under poverty.

But i remeraber a lot of people like this. you don't notice them because you don't talk to them.

i'm not saying everyone poor is like that, but there are some real people out there doing hard ass jobs, many you dont even know exist, and aren't making that much.

Why is it so unreasonable for companies to have reasonable expectations?

Jobs that were previously done by high school students and drop outs, companies are now looking for college graRAB.

And they never want to train or better the employees. It's fucked up.

I see pizza places hiring for assistant managers now that want a college degree and 5 years experience. Shit blows my mind.

I always say that companies usually end up with the employees they deserve. If you're looking for the best, most talented candidate out there, you limit yourself with stupid criteria like this (the economy has suffered at every level and there a lot of talented people out of work right now).
