Job listings say the unemployed need not apply

You don't have the experience or work history to determine that.

Like I said, prove me wrong. Post up proof that you have worked a job in the US and that you job had anything to do with hiring practices.

i get a fat check every month for work other people do. i'm mad?

guaranteed paycheck > draw. you gotta pay that draw back, son. besides, if you're so good then you'll either be successful or you'll find a job in your field in the meantime. oh wait...that's not gonna happen either.

you seem to be forgetting that not only did i hire my entire staff here and elsewhere but i also wrote their compensation plans

Absolutely not. I think the genuinely capable and motivated people who are unemployed will submit their resume despite qualifiers in the ad that suggest they don't, and that those people will be given equal consideration because they had the fucking stones to do so.

That is the sole purpose of putting something like that in an employment ad...screening out the scrubs that don't even have the fucking balls to submit a resume on a posting they aren't PERFECTLY qualified for. If you're generally qualified and assertive enough to put your qualifications in front of the employer, you will be considered...thats the bottom line. People who complain about stuff like this are scrubs that don't fucking get it and they would be terrible hires anyway.

who said anything about that being permanant

your response tells us everything you need to know

you're one of those entitled motherfuckers that thinks he's worth a lot more than he is. you've just discovered how much reality bites.

enjoy being a broke fuck for a lot longer

Learn and get SAN experience. Don't worry too much about certs (although they help). Get SAN and storage experience. Once you get the "feel" for SANs and whatnot in terms of theory and such, you can really apply that to individual storage arrays. That make sense? Just get your foot in the door and get experience. Move up from there.

I was thinking of wearing one and interviewing.

Married people are oddly in more demand. And certainly get more lee-way in their job.

Throw up a couple kiRAB pictures on your desk and a wife. And you are set. No one will get pissed when you sneak out at 4:45 so you can hit your kiRAB tee-ball game. KiRAB are sick? Gotta leave early and pick them up. Etc. Etc.

What you call "negotiation" is actually extortion. Many of our most important businesses have left America for greener pastures where they don't face legalized extortion by unions.

Obviously even when entire corporations pack it up and leave the region, and in a market where employment is shrinking, it's ONLY the incompetent who are unemployed and can't get another job.

these companies are never going to get people with those qualificationd for $12 an hour, and they know it. might as well just scare off all the people who are too durab to realize this.

Oklahoma City was rated as the #1 city to ride out the recession in.

There are all kinRAB of IT jobs here and different industries and we have a very low cost of living. Good homes are $100/sq ft or less.

Low traffic, low crime, good people, shitty weather....what's not to love? lol

if your situation is as you described, then you're facing some serious peril without any income. the only reason i even suggested that is to buy yourself some time. the minute you mention you've accepted a position already, i'd have told you to enjoy your vacation.

Look faggot, I don't come down to the bus station and slap the dicks out of your mouth so don't tell me about my job either. You're opinion is not needed, nor is it wanted considering you have NO first hand knowledge on the subject.

he's overqualified to do that. however, he is not overqualifed to sell cars

actually, i stand corrected. if he interviewed with me, i wouldn't hire him either. his attitude sucks.

You are a slimy one.

You keep saying they can ask for your credit score because they need to know things to make a good hiring decision.

so tell me....how will them asking for my credit report NOT result in it being used to make a hiring decision.
