Job listings say the unemployed need not apply

A business is not an individual. They don't have the same rights nor do the rights of the individual transfer over to the business.

Your corporatist beliefs pose a much greater danger when you hold their interests over the individual rights of citizens. The fact that you say running a business as a right that the government can violate tells a great deal. Mussolini said fascism was more correctly called corporatism because it was the merger of corporate and state power. You don't seem to be too far behind.

Why exactly? If they only want people who are able to hold onto a job in a tough economic climate, why should they be prohibited from it?

It's their loss if they ignore candidates who are unemployed. You're basically saying that they should be forced to accept candidates below their level of standarRAB

i agree that its a big decision for a "kid" to make, such is the system we are in so you either go with it or you fall off to the side

but honestly what does a poli sci degree lead to? i honestly dont know what kind of job would look for someone with that degree

Selling is my strength. My resume is great. Even had it redone professionally. I still send out my original copy sometimes too.

I am not even getting a chance to sell myself. No one will even talk to me on the phone.

My favorite is when they want 10 years of experience in a company. Not a specific technology, just a company...even a single product.

Do you really give a fuck about some piece of 10 year old Cisco hardware? Windows 2000 experience?

Thats how you know the IT director did not write the job requirements.

Mass layoRAB? How do they work.

how about you post proof that you've actually held a REAL job, and that said job had anything to do with hiring or evaluating employees WITHIN the UNITED STATES!

I really wanted to try and work as a service adviser at a car dealer. I've got lots of customer service experience, I know cars and am very good at explaining the workings of cars to people(have to talk people into getting work done, right?).

I've been looking at positions on and off since '05 or so, but it's the same everywhere. Everyone wants experience, but has no idea where you're supposed to get it.

I am a sommelier. I have 15 years of restaurant experience including management. I have excellent references. Etc Etc. Fine dining etc.

I just interviewed twice for a bouncer position. Not including a phone interview. And E-mail. Job pays 9 dollars an hour. I want the job so I can get off unemployment and have job experience on my resume.

Turns out that they consider me over qualified, and are afraid I would just leave in two weeks.

HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO GET ANY JOB?
