I've beat Resistance and GOW

For the type of game GoW is, anything more than 4v4 would be annoying. That being said, I think I'd enjoy Resistance's MP more than GoW because I wasn't all that impressed with GoW's MP.

I just think that gow mp should of went a different direction than it did. Ctf with tons of barriers, stop and pop action with at least 8v8 would of been much more fun.

Definately more modes of play. I wish theyd run with the modifiers like they did with ut. I know the game isnt UT, but they could definately use some of what people liked in that game, give it a GOW twist, and sell it. Maybe even a jailbreak or TF style of match. It just seems to lack creativity.

To me the levels were too small, the gameplay was quickly over (in mp), and the learning curve for the mp was to steep. If you walked into your first match, you had -no- chance at all.

All in all, I love the sp/co-op of GOW. Definately earned its game of the year award in my book. But, with that being said, the MP lacked so much in my eyes that once I beat the game, ran back through it to collect the Cogs i missed, the disc went back into the case, and its been there ever since. I honestly tried very hard to like the MP, but to me 4 on 4 is just too few people. I honestly thought it wasnt a -choice- they made for 4 on 4, it was a hardware limitation. I think any bigger levels with more people would of hurt the game either visually or framerates would of plummeted. I like the option to have 40 people, or to have 10, or 8, or 20. Being limited to such a small arena with a few people puts the MP side of gow in a "genre". Halo 2 you could do so much with the Mp. Small Maps, big maps, modifiers, etc.

Gow, you got 8 people max. Should of been 16.

It's all personal opinion. I tried playing CoD3's multiplayer after spending countless hours playing GoW and I just got bored when it was 15v15 etc. Too big IMO.

To each his own.

Updates via live. I can see them putting out another update within a few months. I've heard new weapons were being released the 17th, idk if this is true though.

i have to say, i love gow, but am getting tired of the few weapons. 4 or 4 is getting a little dull. would love to have seen 6 on 6 or 8 on 8.

right now if you want to plan anything, its like, stay together or 2 go this way 2 go the other. would have loved to be able to say 2go this way 4 go another etc.

yeah, after beating both, i found myself not wanting to stop playing resistance campaign once i started. gow was alot easier to put down. coop was a blast though, thats hard to put down. i havent played resistance coop, but im sure its still awesome. i agree with most everyones comments about gow MP, im reaching the point where its a fight for me to wanna play it anymore. its become worse to play after the patch. its just shotgun fests now. thats great and all, but all people do is rush and start pulling the trigger, any strategy gets thrown out the window in most matches now. i miss the days where teams would use slower moving strategies and plan more wisely, not just, lets all meet in middle and people start blasting.

wtf @ people saying more people for gears of war. if im the first one to die i hate waiting the couple minutes for my teamates to die or win. i cant imagine how long it would take per match 8 vs. 8

GoW is not the same as most FPS. Its a mix of R6 and Halo type of gameplay. Some people love the halo type and some love the R6 type. I like GoW's multiplayer and find it much more fun than Halo2's multiplayer.

I flashed my firmware on my 360 a long time ago and have ~60 360 games. I have 5 Wii games and Resistance for PS3. I liked Resistance a lot, it was a interesting game. It could have looked a little better, but as a release title I wasn't expecting much.
