Is younger generation more educated about sex?

Do you believe that the younger generation (those in their teens to thirties) are much more educated about sex than their parents? Have your parents tried to teach you about sexual matters and you realised that they actually did not know what they were talking about?

When I told my mom I was considering going on the pill, she told me, "but the pill is for women who sleep with lots of men. Surely, you are not a whore!"
 
The pill can have other positive health side effects, but aside from that, yes the younger generation is more knowledgeable about sex because of the freedom of information through Internet, and what you see on television. Sex is so much more easily accessed and so much less taboo than it ever was before.
 
Yes, my piano teacher told me this story, Her sister was at a dance and slow danced with a guy, she came home crying because she thought she was going to get pregnant. Remember, she just danced with a guy. I babysit elementary children who know what sex is. Sex is all around us now, people are much more open about it now.
ok, so what I mean is we know what sex is physically, I don't think the younger generation know much about it emotionally.
 
No because a lot of today's parents aren't around to educate their kids about the "facts of life". My parents told me about it way back when I was 12. They aren't against sex before marriage but they didn't encourage me to be a man-whore and go around sleeping with every girl I met. The fact of the matter is, with the lack of sexual education, a lot of the kids don't know the consequences that come with sex. Whether they're emotional problems, STD's, or pregnancy. In my opinion, younger people today only care about feeling good. They think with their genitals and not their brains.
 
I think so and despite that the Teen Parent rates climbed. I think it's because of our sex ed that this is caused, we know what to do and what to avoid and with that knowledge think that we can avoid pregnancy but still can't. The attempt to educate us and prevent hasn't helped much. Media's also to blame.
