...bathing/showering together? My 2 sisters and my 2 brothers we have been raised in a laid back attitude towards casual nudity indoor lifestyle due to the fact that both of our parents being from France immigrated to America were we where born and raised us in the similar lifestyle back in France.

I have a 12yr old daughter and a 9 month old baby daughter.Since my baby daughter has tuned 7 months old I have started to bath her in the bath tube with her sitting one of those things used for infants to sit in a bath tube.Since my daughter is like 2nd mom & has bonded to her to my baby daughter she's a helper including bathing her while at the same time she strips off her clothes and baths with my baby.

The reason I ask this is since one time while chatting with my friend I explained that it's more convenient for me since I'm somewhat busy for my daughter help my bath my baby while at the same time she baths.I got a raised eye brow.I have heard that older siblings like 10yrs old when in bath tube with there infant/toddler they wear a swim suit.That just tells me that America has these hang ups about nudity and is unnecessarily prude about it.

My sister has a 15yr old daughter and a 3yr old daughter they both bath and shower together, and has been doing it ever since she was 13 when my baby niece was 6 month old..
 
There's nothing wrong with that. Me and my sister bathed together until we were about 5 and 6 (we had a smaller age difference, but whatever). It's not like bathing with her sister is going to mess her up or scar her for life. Forming close bonds like that is a good thing.
 
There is nothing wrong with that, as long as it isn't your 15 year old son bathing with your 8 year old daughter... no problem.
 
My mother is from France also!! And my father is from America, but my mother always made my brother and I bathe together when we were younger... I think what your doing is just fine. I wouldn't get hung up in all this American stuff.

I think that is disgusting. I feel that some things are private.
That opens them up to pedophiles, because we teach our kids that no one has a right to see or touch your private parts and if they do you come and tell us. So that anyone trying to scare them into thinking this is okay will not succeed.

I think that is child abuse
 
eh, its hard to say. I don't see the problem with it, but yes, a lot of americans are really prude and just consider that highly inappropriate.
Just like middle eastern men holding thier older sons hands, americans think it looks really weird.
 
People are so ridiculous, looking to read something dirty into everything. You know what? If we had more open attitudes about sex, I bet we'd have a lot fewer sex offenders. It's repression and negative attitudes that lead to acting out.

Let them bathe together. Your friend has issues. You don't. And you are raising your kids so that they won't either.
