is there such thing as a saliva culture?

i know there is a sputum culture, nasal secretion culture, but is there a test for saliva culture?

what i meant by a saliva culture is can i go to a docs office and ask him to do a saliva culture. will he say theres no such test or will he give me the cup and tell me to collect saliva in it and then hand it in?
