Is there a way to use a usb-midi interface to transfer SOUND from a keyboard

and not just be a midi-controller? I have a yamaha keyboard and a I bought a usb-midi interface, so now I can use my keyboard as a midi-controller on audio software (fruity loops), which is great. However, this means it controls instruments that are on the program, which are often lacking. My keyboard itself has very nice instruments, is there a way to use the midi output to transfer played sounds and audio from the keyboard itslef rather than just midi-instructions? I want to avoid using microphones to preserve full clarity
