it's based on the Arabian culture. But of course Indian/Arabian/Pakistani cultures all play together in one way or the other. But Aladdin always said "Arabia"

No, not really. It is based on literary interpretations of the Persian book, A Thousand and One Nights, mixed in with Western stereotypes of the East. Nonetheless, it more closely parallels Persian culture than Indian culture--two completely different things.
