i am looking for an amp but do not want to spend an arm and a leg. is this amp a decent amp? here are the specs...

What are you wanting to push with it? That amp is a good amp.

First answerer: A head unit does not put out just the right amount of power. They put out 15-22 watts RMS per channel. And multi-channel amps (5 or 6 channels) are great so you don't need to hook up two or three amps.
 
not if your serious about sound that amp is good for high end but not low . i would not advise anyone to run a multichannel amp for a full system because head units come with just the right amount of power so you will only need power for just subs . that amp is a no no for subs . even @ 4ohms it will get hot & shut down just when it is getting good to you . so in a nut shell get it for high -end only do not run subs.
