Is the iPhone really worth it?

Have to figure out what you are looking for. For me it has been the best Phone, iPod, email, web device that I have used.

Cons I have with it is 3g but not 100%. Where I work is on the edge of the EVDO coverage of Sprint and when I was using my phone at work it KILLED my battery level going back from EVDO to 1X and EVDO and then was SLOW because of the connection problem. At lease with 3G I'm consistent and my battery life is GREAT.

ahahahahahahhaaa fucking dumbass apple sack rider. Steve jobs could shit a big steamy pile of stool on your hands and you'd eat that ish up with the quickness. mmmm good.

My A900 has Opera on it and I access the "real" internet... and I do it at 3G speeds. iPhone can't touch this, du nu nu na waah wah.

Don't bother, he's a brain dead Apple hater that probably hasn't even touched an iPhone.

ZOMG, it's got an Apple logo, it must be a pile of shit!

after reading about the new voice over internet service t-mobile is rolling out, i was thinking about switching from att, once they develop better phones for the service.

the bluetooth is buggy, no voice commands/dialing, no texting several people at once, need an adapter for the headphones, no 3g, no instant messenger, no flash on the camera, etc etc. lots of missing shit on this phone.

for $600 you get a shitty ipod (8gb, recessed headphone jack), and a shitty phone. i'd rather keep my 80gb ipod and my current cell phone. it costs apple $200 to make the iphone, they're raping you for the other $400.

If you're a power user then the iPhone isn't for you. If you want a large screen, small form factor, and slick interface on a device that will provide an awesome ipod, cool browser, and a decent phone . . . then you may want an iPhone.

My cons on the phone are . . .

It has a recessed ear jack
The speaker phone is next to worthless
The phone quality isn't quite as good as my last phone(razr)
Safari will crash on pages with a ton of images
At times Safari will knock out the ipod if you're listening to it.
It takes a little time to get used to typing, but space bar is your friend. I type a lot faster now.

With all those complaints, I absolutely love this phone. It's not a mess of menus, and the interface is something that all phone companies should strive for. Hopefully with new updates and software apps, this phone will only become better and better.

And for everyone that complains about it being first gen, don't factor in the part of the market that will simple upgrade their iPhone to the 2nd Gen when it comes out.

How do you claim it's a shitty ipod? It's an awesome ipod. The size limit is a different factor, but how many 80 gb phones are there out there?

It costs apple 250 for the components. That doesn't take into factor, R&D, testing, marketing, manufacturing, shipping, etc . . .

idk why but i dont like anything with a lot of hype i dont want iphone, i dont want ipod, i dont want whatever is "cool"

but regardless of that.... my $100 phone suits me just fine and i couldn't imagine spending $600 on a phone; if i had the money or not.

I got my first ipod as a christmas gift this past year. It was the only apple product I'd ever owned at the time, and my first portable mp3 player.

It's not a question of hype. It's about how fucking awesome the thing genuinely is.

fucking dump T-mobile and get the iphone. I've been with Cingular for almost 8 years and have no desire to switch even without the iphone

Exactly! I don't remember this thing being called the ipod-phone. Apple has such a huge thing with the ipod, its no wonder they decided to stick a phone to the damn thing.

why pay that much money for a decent phone.

I love mine. Ive never used 3G or whatever before so I cant compare but I wish the internet was a little faster

I dont really care about speaker phone function, voice dialing, recessed headphone jack ???, etc

also wish the camera had flash/better quality and that you could turn the keyboard sideways while texting

.
there are flaws but I love the simplicity and interface. With future firmware upgrades and apps, it will get even better. For people complaining about the on screen keyboard, I was on the same boat but after using for a bit, this is non-issue. I would rather have more estate for the screen than built in keyboard. Posting with iphone btw.
