Is the green light on a Kicker ZX400.1 amp supposed to stay on when the car is off?

Hello, I just got a subwoofer and amp installed into my car and I noticed that the green light on the amplifier does not turn off when the vehicle is turned off. My question is, is that light always supposed to be on, or is the amplifier draining power from my battery even when the car is off? any help is much appreciated...THANkS!!
