Is Obama a 'Harvard Educated' lawyer?

And if so, why doesn't he know that it has been illegal for many years to 'drop' anyone from an insurance policy when they get sick? For many years, HIPA laws have made it illegal for an insurance company to drop a client when they get sick and yet Obama keeps saying that that is a problem. Either he's lying or Harvard makes some pretty stupid lawyers. Which is it?
Grillparzar: Got any examples? No, I didn't think so. That is because it is ILLEGAL and the insurance companies would be sued out of business if they did. But thanks for playing...your Koolade cup is empty. I'd suggest a refill.
Wrong again, guys. HIPA laws passed by the Republican congress in 1996 make everything that you're saying illegal. But Obama spreads that BS buggy man and you guys just lap it up without question. I'm understanding more each day how this goon got elected. Talk about the politics of fear!

Insurance rates are already high. I'll grant you that. But what has Barry suggested to reduce them? Nothing. Not one thing. His solution is to replace the private with the public. You do that and your tax rates will be around 65 percent. That is a fact, not a hypothetical. That is the rate in every nation with socialized medicine. It certainly was when I lived in Australia. And the program was still broke. You guys are being taken for a ride by a snake oil salesman. Wake up!!

It's illegal, but the insurance companies use loopholes.

Say you went to the doctor 5 years ago because you had sinus headaches. Now you're in the hospital for brain surgery for a tumor -- very expensive procedure with guaranteed time in the ICU. The insurance company will probably look back at those headaches and say, "pre-existing condition."

It's not illegal for them to drop you for a pre-existing condition. And they're very good at finding them.

Yes he is. It is not at all illegal to drop a person when they become ill. It is also not illegal to heavily increase premiums on a person when they become ill, causing them to be 'dropped' since they cannot afford outrageous premium hikes. It is also not illegal to claim that the illness is part of a 'preexisting condition' so that the HMO does not have to cover the illness. You're thinking about employee health plans, but most citizens don't receive coverage through their employer as insurance is too costly for small businesses to offer.
