I have a 1994 ford ranger XLT single cab 4 speed manual rear wheel drive 2.3L Lately i've been noticing a few problems (i do not drive my truck hard, i try to baby it as much as i can):
1. I notice that the truck itself does not like to run in 3rd gear, the check engine light comes on like clockwork as soon as i shift into it. this could be that the clutch is slipping but its a fairly recent clutch
2. When i'm coming up to a stop, usually at 25mph and slower, i hear a loud clunking sound coming from the rear end.
3. Squeaking when i accelerate
My truck has always received scheduled oil changes and tire rotations, and i always keep all the fluids topped off. Please help, i can't afford a new vehicle right now.
