Is my car's electrical system strong enough to not have to install a car audio...

...capacitor? I have a 2007 Honda Accord sedan SE and I am currently having a stero system installed in it. It's a 1000w Kenwood amplifier and two 12" Kenwood subs. I don't want my lights to dim ( they don't dim yet because I haven't finished installing) everytime the bass hits. I've been reading other answers about whether you need a capacitor or not, and the answers are always spilt down the middle. Half the people who respond say you don't need it, and the other half say you do. I really need some advice here. Please advise me!!!

I've noticed with my capacitor that before it was hooked up i was not able to turn my head-unit up past a certain point or else the amp would shut off due to it not being able to get the power from the battery fast enough. Once i hooked up my capacitor (which was 2 farads and my subs were 500 watts and you only need 1 farad for every 500 watts) i was able to turn the head-unit all the way up and the amp wouldn't shut off or distort in any way. From my experience, if your lights are dimming a capacitor will not help because my lights still dim if the bass is up but if you are just having problems with turning your head-unit up and having the amp shut off then a capacitor will actually help. Hope that I have helped!
