hello, i have a basic understanding of python (if you look at my previous questions, i by no means consider myself a "good programmer"). but since i asked all thse questions, i developed a basic understanding of the corefunctions of python, like tuples, super and subclasses, modules, writing out your own functions etc.... but im stil not very good at it. But i wanted to begin to learn Java in addition to python, so will it be hard for me to learn if i have a pasic unerstanding of python? hwat kind of applications can i make with Java?

P.S. my school will be offereing computer science courses next year, but the first class is a intro to c++, then it is Java, why would they put c++ first i it is suposed to be so much harder?
