Is it wrong for a family to only want someone of their culture to be a part of it?

like, when a family doesn't want their daughter or son to marry any other race, but their own, and they like disown them if they do? Is that wrong?..I know many people from South Asia do this I think.
 
thats really common. my family doesnt approve or me dating even light skinned blacks. but if i married some one lighter they wouldnt disown me. i think its narrow minded. as long as they know their ancestry an where they came from
 
Right or wrong is a point of view. In this country it would be wrong. In other countries it's wrong to marry outside your race.
 
No I don't think it is wrong at all. What is wrong are hte people that point fingers and start calling them racists. It is actually pretty natural for one to want to be around other people that look like them.
 
Hell no it's not. It's miscegenation that ruins cultures. People are so mixed up these days that no one knows where their ancestors herald from anymore. It's sad.
