...from plate to plate? I would really appreciate to know if it's possible to get ISOLATED colonies from E. coli by culturing from solid medium to another plate with solid medium, using a metallic loop. I know it's recommended to inoculate from liquid broth and then to solid medium and then u get isolated colonies, but my superviser is asking me to do it from solid to solid medium and i get is big masses of
cells but no colonies. I would really appreciate the right answer. Thank you.
