Is it possible to avoid the influence of American culture?

I don't mean American literature, painting, or ballet. I mean the worldwide invasion of American movies, music, news networks, theme parks, shopping malls, fast food, television programs, corporations, nightclubs, and the Internet. American culture, then, has a huge influence when integrated with local contexts in other countries.
Is it possible to avoid American cultural imperialism?

HAHA dickie spank is a funny guy. american culture is all about making money. capitalism baby. I'd say to withdraw yourself from these things if you don't believe in them. watch the marilyn manson interview with michael moore on youtube. it's from bowling for columbine. opens your mind a bit.

If you dislike American culture, you can choose not to partake in it.
On the other hand, the fact that you're here indicates that you're not against it.
Remember, though, that American culture is only bad with a bias. Other countries have similar cultures, too.
If you're not talking about avoiding it yourself, then I can say so. It is possible to avoid it... hermits try, the amish try.
No culture is too big to avoid. We are individuals in the culture, after all.

It's hardly the apocalypse that you describe. Countries have their own identities and borrow certain ideas and ways from others. The USA lifestyle has never been popular anywhere else but aspects of it are taken up with the aid of Hollywood movie influence. A lot is dropped just as quickly.
Keep away from seductive but empty slogans.
