is it ok for my kicker to handle?

I have the gain 1/4 and bass boost down on the amp. and on the head unit i have the low on +6 which is the highest and bass boost on +6 which is also the highest?

Yes that should be fine. If it sounds distorted turn them down a tad but you should be just fine.
