My partners father has to come back to England for surgery, and my partner has told me that it is traditional for a son to have to stay with his father when this happens. The father will be staying at my parner's sister house, so was wondering why my partner has to stay there too. Sorry if I sound ignorant, but am trying to understand this, and not be selfish, but equally dont want to be taken for an idiot as it were. Thank you for your help.
Is it normal in Bengali culture for a son to have to go and stay with his father?
