Is it me, or has Lisa become an unlikable character as of later seasons?

Pretty much the entire cast in Simpsons, the family and all the townspeople, have become unlikeable from Season 11 onward.

Season 10 was the last season I could still relate or enjoy the characters, Season 11-20+ they've turned into crap.
 
I don't know, I at least lasted until Season 13 before I started getting pissed off at the Simpsons. And I think Marge has gotten worse than Lisa. As I've said before, the guy who writes her dialog, or at least the dialog that's supposed to be funny but isn't, needs to be the first writer they boot off the team.
 
I don't know, kind of think Bart's gotten better from season 19-21.
Its true about Marge though, for me though Lisa should be this sweet/smart little girl. While she hasn't always been a favorite of mine, this season has just been aweful for her.
 
And yet most of you still watch the show. Im guessing this may turn into another hate thread for the later seasons of the show

To me the characters have not changed much,even considering how long the show has been on
 
What? I like for a lot of other characters. Like I said, I feel Bart's become a better character now. Lisa's become some one I really just haven't been able to like though :shrug:
 
I used to love Lisa. For the past few years, though... I've gotten irritated with her. The writers would be wise to resurrect the sweet, brilliant girl she was and not what she's become. She doesn't need to be The Simpsons version of Brian Griffin.
 
I'm not sure. A lot of people argue that Lisa as well everyone else has taken a turn for the worse at season 11 and onward.

While I tend to agree with that train of thought, part of me wonders has the show itself really dipped in quality or have we just gotten so use to the Simpsons style of odd ball humor that it's just really tired at this point?

I'm saying this because looking back through the 90's episodes of the Simpsons, i'm just not laughing as much as I was before. Sure, it was fresh then because you didn't really have cartoons with sharp social commentary and clever gags, but now ..meh.
 
Well yah, the show itself has gone down quality wise. However, as far as characters go just saying Lisa's has really gotten worse. Its true she's pretty much become the Brian of The Simpsons.
 
Iv'e said it before and i'll say it again; if any character has taken a turn for the worse since about season 10, it's Bart. And this is because he isn't much of a jerk anymore. Back during the golden age of the show, Bart was the most selfish and cynical member of the family, a role which have since passed on to Homer. Which is lame because Homer already had the role of lovable idiot. So now, Homer fills both the role of the idiot and the role of the jerk, while Bart just comes of as some character in the background whose primary role appears to be acting as Homers sidekick.
 
I still like Lisa a lot, but yeah, she's changed a little. She's more bitter and she's lost some of her innocence. She used to be kind of naive, a nice contrast to street-wise Bart. I miss that.
 
Asked me this a couple of seasons ago and I'd have agreed with this.
However, seasons 19-21 I'd say Bart's become a better character. Most of the time I laugh a lot at his jokes these days. Lisa's character on the other hand, well I've watched a lot of the newer and yes I've realized how bitter she's become and jealous over her older self. She's just become a little annoying a bit meaner than Bart even, which is a shocker to me. I'd like to know who is writing her character latley LOL.
 
You know, this reminds me of a line I read somewhere a really long time ago, they were mentioning that Maggie was still a baby, Lisa is all over the place, and Bart is....still Bart.

If you ask me, no one's been....how they were back in the day since season 11 ended.
