I have a really good friend that I've known for almost 3 years who lives ins South Carolina. We originally met through a photo-sharing site and have never spoken on the phone, only emails, texting, and written letters. We started out as friends but it's become more of a romantic relationship. We've never discussed anything lewd, sexual or out-of-line and have been very careful to be above board with our relationship. Unfortunately, her parents don't approve of us being together and have told us to no longer be in contact with each other. After six months of no contact, she sent me a message wanting to connect again. Since July we've been sending notes and chatting infrequently. She's is 17 and I'm 21.
What I'm wondering is if I'm committing some sort of crime by contacting her against her parent's wishes?
