African culture? I'm African American and I am not at all intrested in African culture. I do know a lot about African and African American history, but I don't necissarily care for African culture like most other black people would.
I have a very huge intrest in Asian culture (food, language, clothes, etc..), I have a specific intrest in Japanese and Indian culture.
for some reason I feel like it's bad that I'm black and don't have any intrest in African culture.
 
No thats not bad. I'm Irish and I dont give a shit about Irish culture, Id rather study Latin American culture. Theres nothing wrong with that. You should not let an arbitrary thing like what culture your originally from define who you are. You should pursue your own interests rather than doing things other think you should do.
 
You don't live in Africa. So you most likely know little to nothing about African culture. That's fine.

The interest in Japan and India is an idealization, a fantasy, of what you think those places are really like. Interest is fine, but don't go crazy.
 
Everyone interests themselves with a different culture, nothing wrong with that.
