is British culture and other British stuff popular in America?

what is this wondrous "british culture" you speak of , are you referring to the 1800 or so people who still go to the opera, ballet and art galleries? british "stuff" is very popular even though they think it's australian

Yup - British music is popular (Leona Lewis), as are British films (Hot Fuzz and watever Hugh Grant is up to), British literature (Shakespeare, Harry Potter), British Cuisine (English Muffins, and all food they inherited such as Fish and Chips, Sunday Roast etc), and British based tv shows (The Office, Britain's got talent).

Fairly popular I would say. Not surprising seeing as Britain is a cultural superpower, along with the USA itself, and Japan.
