Continuously encased in oval glass.
Her blouse lowered below the
Shoulder, seductively teasing.
Her protective glass is held in
Place by a ring of gold, and
Then in a circle, the red velvet,
Worn, for it has been open to
The touch as it was passed down
Through time, and only she can
Tell the stories of the generations.

Remains a perfect work of art.
She is timeless beauty, the
Background reminiscent of the
Mona Lisa, if one can be so
Bold to make such a comparison.
There she remains on my wall,
A bargain at an antique shop.
A not so rare Cameo Creation
By Druoais, but priceless to me,
Because she was someone captured
In time, like so many others.
Yeah, I just looked at the picture on my wall and started writing.
