Is anyone else tired of little girls trying to be "hot" in today's culture?

I am younger than many people on this site but I am rather old-fashioned. But, there are so many little girls hanging around the mall with their "boyfriends" that are much younger than myself! These little girls get push up bras from VS, wear low shirts, and try to flirt for boys. I like guys but I have never had a boyfriend. Where are their parents?? When did little girls start dating so early?
I'm 12!

Like, I'm not talking about 13 year olds.

I mean like actual younger girls 7-10.
 
Yeah, I am annoyed too. I am the same age but I turn 13 in a week:)



Many girls in my grade have boyfriends. Basically all of them wear VS, I don't know about VS bras though...not me of course....I don't even wear a bra...according to my mom...I am too young.

I don't low shorts are that bad...since I always wore shorts like that...of course my butt isn't showing though!

Some girls your age and my age are getting pregnant too!

I sometimes wonder what's wrong with their parents!
 
they have boyfriends cuz they like boys
they where bras cuz they have boobs
they where low shirts because they like theyre new boobs
 
well when i was much younger, like 7 i had a "boyfriend" haha.
obviously it wasn't serious! we would just sit with each other at lunch and maybe play round each others houses after school! lmfao.
most little girls want to be grown up so they can join in all the things that the older girls do. But i do find it inappropriate when girls of that age wear lower cut things i do when im nearly double their age! I think that the parents just want their children to be happy so they don't want to get in an argument, but say saying that my mum used to choose all my clothes for me and make me wear it even if i hated it haha..I guess its really depends on how strict their parents are.

I agree, when I go to the mall with my friends, I always see young girls trying to be "cool", but I feel kind of bad for them... They are missing out on all of the better things they could be doing at their age, that they won't be able to do when they are older. We can only hope that they realize what they are doing and that they decide to stop. Or else they will probably become someone that they wish they weren't when they are older. :(
 
I know, they try to make their prepubescent bodies look like they have huge C cups, but their hips are completely flat ;)

Surely you know little girls CANNOT survive without a boyfriend to cling to at all times. :P

I think it's all due to advertising and the media. They always advertise things with age-inappropriate people. When would a 16 year old sit down and start brushing the hair of a Bratz doll?

But you know the magazines like Girlfriend and Dolly are targeted at girls aged 9-13. Then they put the sealed section in the middle and advertise hair, makeup and fashion throughout the rest of it. These girls are being taught this is what is needed to make them happy, popular and socially successful.

And yeah, I'm tired of it ;)

Oh aye

I had to take the bus to work one day cause my van was in for a MOT and a group of 14 and 15 year old girls in low cut tops and short skirts tried to throw themselves at me.

If they were my daughters they wouldn't have left the house in that state.
 
I think it is a little ridiculous, but hey if they want to go out just to go out with boys then be my guest. Just saying you usually dont get married to your elementary school sweetheart ♥
 
i totally agree with you. 13 year olds should not be wearing pounds of make up and slutty outfits. i hate when i see a young couple of like 12 or 13. it annoys the heck out of me. they think they are cool for doing it.
 
Well, for me to give a proper insight I'd really have to know what age you're talking about.

It's kind of ridiculous to date date until Highschool. Now the whole boyfriend-girlfriend thing would probably be okay if it started in Seventh Grade, my Sixth. It's kinda pathetic the way I've seen ten year old girls act, though.

If you add the age group your talking about, I'll edit this answer with a better in sight. :)

EDIT- 7 year olds? That's just beyond wrong. I can understand little kids have like tiny, small crushes or something but wearing push of bras? Holy crap. Just wow.

i think that it is rediculous because they don't even fit in the clothes, and they are all to young to be having boyfriends.
trust me, i know where you're coming from, lol .
idk, their parents must be okay with it or don't care about their children, but i know if i tried to do all that my mom would be in my face about it. (and i wouldn't, its too young !)
i definately think that they're trying to be older, and they should just take their time growing up at their own, slow pace
they shouldn't be rushing their years when they should be having fun !
 
Well what is your clarification of young? How old are you? I'm young, too. I wear push up bras, but because I have to..
I'm 13, hang at the mall, no boyfriend but still.

These little girls are growing up too fast. They have "role models" like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus, and they want to be like them. They are being brainwashed, and put into beauty pageants where they're subject to wearing make up and acting "mature". I'm sorry, but little girls should be playing with Barbies and Lite Brites. They're growing up way too fast. It's very sad.
 
Ah! That drives me insane when little girls try so hard to look pretty for the boys but then end up looking like little sluts (harsh, I know, but it's true!) They shouldn't even be dating at that age, I'd say around sometime in high school is when you should start dating. Hmph! XD
