I found out this morning that Take That are now claiming to be the 'best British band since the Beatles', this got me really worked up. The reason being is, a band is not a group of people who don't play instruments. That is a group. I'm aware that Gary Barlow does play an instrument, maybe two, but that's besides the point, Take That are a Pop Group, not a band. The X-Factor has ruined the music industry to some extent, I mean, yes I get that it's good for some people who never had a chance before to get noticed, but where's the passion this? I don't understand how people who have been binmen for years, and then get on X-Factor and cry when they've been kicked out saying "Singing is all I want to do, it means the world to me." If it meant that much to them, surely they'd be out trying to promote their name, and singing in bars and what ever as well, because that's what they love doing. I'm a musician myself, and I hate that music is being degraded by the pop-culture. Who's with me? Who's against my points? Speak up, there's nothing like a hearty debate to put a bit of spice into anyone's day!
