Is America now a women-dominated culture?

I've been thinking about this, and I hope it doesn't sound sexist because it's just an observation and I don't have any problem with it.

Our biggest celebs, like Britney Spears, are female. Most of the marketing to kids targets girls, such as Hannah Montana and HSM. Being a mom is the hot thing in Hollywood, and far more girls go to college than boys.
 
just goes to show u the potential power that a women truly holds! the day of us women being pawns is just about over, and one day we will completely stand shoulder to shoulder with the king and knights. we just need the rest of the worlds women to take a page out of the American women's book.
 
Just because guys are unintelligent and unmotivated doesn't mean girls shouldn't go to college.
 
i don't think so. even though you see lots of women emerging on top of most fields, it is not safe to say that America is now a women-dominated culture. Why? because discrimination and abuses against women are still rampant. I mean, let's face it, some women are experiencing lots of abuses, especially sexual abuses. Good thing now, women are more empowered and educated about their rights. But there are still a lot for us to prove, i think.
