This is not a homework assignment, just a curious nerd in need of an answer.
UPDATE: thanks for the answers, but I know of it's location in Centaurus. Is Centaurus located in the Orion Arm of the Milky Way (as we are). Thanks.

The Orion Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy is not a direction in the night sky; it is our neighborhood in space. Most naked-eye stars are in the Orion Arm because the nearest stars in the Perseus and Sagittarius Arms are several thousand light years away. Alpha Centauri is only 4 light years away; obviously, it is in the Orion Arm.

just about everything in the night sky is in the orion arm.

i've seen alpha centauri. in a telescope it's a double star. if you look in the right place you can see proxima centauri off by itself. it's really cool.

Yes. But I always thought it was called the Orion Spur. Either way, all of the stars in our "neighborhood" are in the same vicinity of the galaxy, be it an arm or a spur.
