J Jessica New member Jun 12, 2009 #1 I have a kicker l5 10" square and am getting an amp. Im interested in a kx 750.1 but am also looking at a 1200.1. I know the 750 is perfect for the sub, but would the 1200 be too much power?

R RPM New member Jun 12, 2009 #3 The KX1200.1 is a good match if you plan on running it at a 2 ohm load. If you have the dual 4 ohm L5, the KX1200.1 will power it nicely (600W x 1 RMS at a 2 ohm load). Just know the KX1200.1 recommends 1/0 gauge wire.
