I managed to score a pair of Sony speakers that used to be part of an old stereo. (don't have the middle cd/radio/tape bit)

As you can see there are 3 separate speakers: a 4", 2" and one tiny 1-2cm thing. They are wired already like this: http://www.pixelshack.com/img/681596Sony%20Speakers.JPG I want to use them as pc/mp3 player speakers with a 3.5mm input. To be honest I don't mind if audio quality isn't amazing, I just want it do work, averagely well, and cheaply.
So, do I really need to put in a crossover? I know what they do but have never used one and know nothing about the Sony speakers and whether they need it. Will the speakers still work acceptably for anyone who's not an audiophile if I don't have one?
By the way, I'll probably be using the Amp6-Basic (http://www.41hz.com) as an small amplifier that I can mount in one of the speaker boxes.
