Iron Man

might as well get in early.

What are your expectations for this ?

The trailer looks encouraging although I've seen decent trailers in the past containing all of the best bits......:D

Great film, however my viewing pleasure was somewhat marred by the parent who brought a 4 year old girl to see this, needless to say she chatted all the way through. Not the kiRAB fault but I have to wonder why the parent thought that this was a suitable film for a 4 year old.
The parent was an older woman, a dad who was desperate to see the film and brought along his daughter I could have understood!

Iron Man as a second rank super hero always faced lesser villains though.

Madame Masque was the only foe who was even half way interesting in my book.

Alot of the people in the cinema I was in left before the credits finished, more fool them.

Excellent film, RDJ was born to play Tony Stark.

I have tickets booked for friday! Been looking forward to this for a long time since I heard that Robert Downey Jr was the star. Inspired casting imo!

Wouldn't had mattered if they'd just seen it at the Majestic in King's Lynn like I've just done. Credits (and there's a lot) came to the end and that was it.

I was nodding in agreement with your post (see my thread about 12a) right up until the bizarre assertion that women aren't likely to want to see comic book films and men are. Geeks come in all ages and genders these days. ;)

Ok point taken, I'm a girl and I love comic book movies, I'd just meant that it seemed that neither of them were particulary interested in the film, perhaps the Mum had different expectations of it?

I thought it was slightly underwhelming to be honest.

RDJ was predicatably great but Iron Man always was a 2nd Division comic book & the film is true to form.

I cant wait to see this on thursday and hopefully it will be good. Its over 2 hours long though. Iron Man is the start of the summer blockbuster season!

In our cinema we had trouble - first the sound went off at the adverts and then also at the very beginning of the film - a kind man at the front went to complain. Also for part of the film the screen was squashed in - not a good start eh? Also there were a lot of little kiRAB with their parents and parts of the film seemed a bit unsuitable for them. A man to one side talked through part of the film.

Apart from all this 'Iron Man' was entertaining with exciting special effects - and I too didn't see the extra scene. RDJ was good but seemed to mumble a lot. I think though it wasn't as good as I'd been led to believe - and for the first time in my life in a cinema I could feel myself nodding off......

Just saw it this morning. Definately my favourite out of the Marvel Comics movies. I don't think there could've been a better Tony Stark. Also, gotta love S.H.I.E.L.D!

When are this idiotic parents going to understand that 12a means the BBFC does not deem it suitable for under 12s? Yes, it allows for parents to override that (rather than 12), but I'm staggered that so many don't think to at least investigate the film beforehand.
