iPhone plans starting at $59.99

I actually used it on the train with my laptop coming back to Newburgh from Rochester. Transferred about 30 megs with no problem.
 
I bet you if I took a Honda Civic, replaced the badges with the Apple Symbol and made everything white, people would be offering $30-60k for it.
 
I'd be surprised if anyone could actually snag 5gb over edge and that Cing would put a stop at 5gb (I'd expect it to be much sooner unless you had a pda connect plan.)

I can never see spending $500 to $600 for a phone then $60/month before taxes.

My phone was free! Its durable as hell, I charge is once a week, it has clear sound quality. For $45/month I get 400 anytime minutes, Unlimited Verizon to Verizon Minutes, Unlimited Text/Pic Messages to other Verizon Customers, and 400 any Text/Pics.

For ME it is great, most of my friends are Verizon and I get awesome service in the Rochester, NYC, Long Island area.
 
Meh...

Great pricie points with their data/ text plans still won't convince me to by a non 3g phone.

Especially in Chicago where almost everywhere is HSDPA/UMTS.
 
Fantastic for you, too bad not everyone has access to wifi 75% of the day.

It is funny to see your arguments crumble, first it was that I was "wrong" about the speeds, second it was that 10KB/s was only the minimum throughput and now it doesn't matter because you have wifi access
