Invictus

It's dreadful. The ending is particularly cliche and had me reaching for the sick bag. You will feel like you have already seen this movie several times before. Morgan Freeman does well but the script really isnt up to much at all.

I went to see it yesterday and I found it more impressive and emotional than I hade expected. I only went to see it because Matt Damon is in it, but as I watched it, I got caught up in the emotion of the rugby hysteria - even though I'm not usually interested in sport. Mandela clearly thought that rugby was more imnportant than all the other minor trivia of politics he had to deal with in between watching games :)

It may be a cliche becuase it was in the film but it all happend in reality pienarr really did say the line about 63 million south africans he really did say thank you for what you have done to mandella.

Its all cheesy as its on film but at the time all these things did happen.

It doesnt mention the South African chef poisning new zealand the night before though!

The book is increadable, but I understand they did change some of it, like the learning of the new anthem was screened as the Springboks were against it, when they were all very much for it.
