"InuYasha: The Final Act" Talkback (Spoilers)

Wow, Wind Tunnel actually beat a boss. I always wondered why Inu-Yasha doesn't just Wind Scar right before to clear the bugs, though.

And YEAH, it was fast. They killed a boss, introduced another one, and a lot of other sub-plots.

Where? I have viewed so many Residence Inn commercials trying to see the new ep - and failing -I'm going to become an arsonist so there won't be anymore RI to advertise.

sigh...I didn't like Hakudoshi, but he had the best theme music on this show

I forgot about the whole plot with giant demon and his hanging ocarina-shaped appendage. They kinda rushed through that last time too

ChibiGoku probably saw the episode on a Japanese channel streaming site. The new episode with subtitles will be on Shonen Sunday or Hulu in the next hour or two. I heard that there was going to be a three hour delay between the showing in Japan and when it's streamed for those in the west.

I agree with pretty much everyone, that ep was fast.

However, I found one thing odd:

(Spoiler for the later comic series.)

I suppose they moved the "Inuyasha follows Kagome to school" scenario up for the sake of leading into the new season with a comedic moment. (For those who don't know, this scene actually is from a much later story in which Kagome brings Inuyasha home to heal from an injury and leaves him home while at school. And as always, future shock + Inuyasha = funny.) It's one of those one-chapter stories, and they managed to get half of it in. I'll kind of miss having it in order, but at the same time, it also makes me quite confident they'll manage to cram the rest of the series into a 26 episode season.

In a weird way, the overall speed at which they crammed so much into the rest of the episode (somehow cutting very little!) leaves me excited more than anything else. Too many comic-based series in Japan get wrecked by filler, and I know I was pretty upset back in the day when I learned Ranma 1/2 would never have its more epic stories animated.

All things considered, I think this ep can be summed up in 4 worRAB:

Filler go bye bye.

Did they really put in more blood or just change the color so it was more obvious? I've got the DVRAB of the first series and most of the time, the blood was blackish instead of red.

This is 26 episodes long. The last thing I'd want is for them to use one of them to waste any time on flasrabroadacks. Anybody watching this has seen the original series or read the manga, and this first one were revisiting old events I wouldn't even bother watching.

Pace it well, pace it fast I say.

Episodes 3 - 8 titles are out.

3. Meidou Zangetsuha

4. Dragon-scaled Tessaiga

5. Yorei Taisei's Trial

6. The End of Moryomaru

7. The Mausoleum of Mount Azus

8. As the stars twinkle

Apparently, this is the best OP ever.

I liked Angelus more but this was pretty good too. (AWESOME TETSUSAIGA ALERT! )

We're just zooming along aren't we? I think it took longer to read the volume this was in then it took to get through the episode.

Koga gets the awesome lightning claws (but if you had seen the opening, you would know that already ) and Kagura sadly passes on but not before Sesshomaru pulls the ultimate "cool and silent bishounen" stereotype move of just being there when she dies. Okay, that part was actually very sweet and I really did like that moment.

Oh yeah. Screw you Naraku. Gives her back her heart...and then he kills her.

When it shows Inuyasha and co's faces ready for battle, seeing Shippo made me think "epic fail" >_>

Nice opening, yet as I said, I'm worried that this will end up being a rush job of a finale season. Maybe if were lucky they planned a movie for the very final part of the series? Probably not but eh I can dream of a nicely paced season.
