Man what a variance in rates. That $7000 just screams effff yooouuu. Some of the ins companies will give deductions for formal training and proof that the bike is stored in a secure location if you prove it to them. Also if you can prove that it's not ridden and parked in a theft prone location for work that's a plus.
The rates seemingly all revolve around the geographic location. I'm sure age has a bearing but I've been paying $300 something for the duc since it was new in 02. Full coverage, high liability (which won't add much to the premium) and a $500 DD. Progressive.
Everything else, bikes, cars, house is on American Family. AmFam won't touch any Duc but does insure my kids RC51. Go figure. Goldwing $250, wife's 450 $67 and yes that's per year.
Drill, where in hell are you located to get rate quotes like that....
