Ask yourself this: If you sold motorcycle insurance, would you insure motorcycles being used for track days at no extra cost? The answer, obviously, is, "no."
Unless you're paying extra for track insurance, (which I've never heard of, but I'm sure somebody would underwrite if you were willing to pay enough), chances are you're regular street policy is not going to cover damage or liability incurred at the track. I've heard people say that some policies allow you to track your bike, but I"ve never seen one of those polices, nor have I ever heard of anybody, (honestly), collecting on their insurance policy after wrecking their bike at the track.
IMO, the best insurance policy you can get for the track is a set of sharkskinz.
