its ok. its just the amp drawing alot of amps (power) off your battery. which reduces voltage of your battery for a short time this causes the flicker an easy fix is to install a compasitor in your car which is easly installed to the power cable before it connects to the amp. this regulates the voltage and stops the flickers of lights. this a relitivily cheap option and it works.
they should be sold anywhere car audio is

ok so i installed some aftermarket DOOR speakers in my 2004 chevy trailblazer and the internal lights flicker like on the radio like when its up loud or when the "bass" hits im installing a aftermarket radio at the moment and i have a kenwood 800 watt amp and some subs on the way so idk does anyone know whats wrong? i dont want my battery to die or something but idk whats wrong with it ... is it safe to still hook up the amp and subs or what?

What you should also buy is a power converter. this sucks power from you battery then beefs it up even more before going into the amp. that way your actually using less power from the battery. It looks a little bigger than a soda can.

As for the light flickering you might have a bad fuse, the light itself is bad.

Or the common sense answer its you amp taking power away from other Components.

you need a capacitor cause your door speakers are taking up all the power..must be some good a** door speakers to dim your lights when bass comes on lmao i wonder what would happen if you put subs in
