Indiana Jones IV

I went to see Indy 4 at a screening this morning. I really enjoyed it and thought it was a good film. Its not as good as the previous Indy films but its a good film anyway. I loved the little hints towarRAB the previous filns. Im now hoping we can a fifth Indy film!

I saw a programme on the
Sci Fi
channel last week about the real crystal skulls and that was far more ridiculous and unbelieveable than anything in the film and yet there are many people throughout the world who believe this stuff.

Possibly one of the worst films I've seen for a long time. I can't believe I stayed up last night to catch the 10pm showing, and waxed

i have to say i enjoyed it. As Lucas didn't write the screenplay we had a lot better dialogue and it had it's comic moments too.

The only down side is I don't think John Hurt worked very well and as others have said when it got to the end it was a bit of a let down.

Didn't notice a cameo in it so no idea what that was, maybe a CGI Darth Vader or something

Last rumours I heard was that Natalie Portman was Indy's daughter (by Marion Ravenwood from Raiders, reprised by Karen Allen), and LaBeouf was the 'comedy' sidekick (and probably Portman's love interest). Also that Connery was likely to only have small cameo, or even not be in the flick at all.

But as you say, it's all top secret speculatey stuff right now, so anything could happen.

I totally agree. It's daft as a brush (in many of the same way Crystal Skull is). Plus it has the coolest kid in cinema (Shorty). ;)

Crystal Skull comes in a merry third for me (ahead of Crusade), and fits nicely into IJ lore.

I saw it this afternoon (when I really should be working!)

It's okay, but feels like 'Indiana Jones and the Obsession of the CG Background'

It never looks like he leaves an indoor green screen sound stage at any time...

That said though, it isn't bad, a worthy entry - 7/10 for me

well I saw it yesterday and all I can say is go in with an open mind - not going to say any thing about the film untill more have seen it only that as expected Harrison Ford, is starting to look his age but he just about gets away with it..

the ending was the only let down in the film but i suppose after the all pwerful mystical holy relics of the previous films this was the next logical step.

but over all it was reasonably enjoyable.

After Indie IV is released, Steven Speilberg and the rest at amblin are supposed to be starting on Jurassic Park IV, but i heard its been delayed because of the writers strike.

Thank you very much.:)

I think it was a case of de trop and not enough. If they had made this back in 1993 when the first draft I think was done, and hammered out the plotline better I would have probably come out raving about it.

Maybe I'm jaded...maybe it's all been done too many times in rip oRAB....too late.

But I did enjoy it overall, I don't really say a lot in my reviews of what was good in anything, I tend to say what I didn't like which isn't very balanced.:D

I think it'll do very well. The good things in it is probably enough to carry it. I don't think it'll be a record breaker though.
