Inbetweeners Series 3 Discussion

I am really surprised no-one on the forum picked up on this.

When Neil mentions Jay telling him about a neighbour in the shed everyone here assumed Neil meant some teenage boy fumblings. Straight away I thought Neil was alluding to Jay confiding in him about being abused as a child.

The neighbour who "suddenly moved away" together with Jay's dad saying that his mother was right about taking him "to a shrink".

The highs and lows of series 3 have been well documented on this forum and other blogs but this revelation about Jay's past was kind of the highlight for me in a way.

It actually makes perfect sense, constructing an image of hypermasculinity through over-the-top (fake) sexual experiences in retaliation to a traumatic experience combined with having the most horrible

Isn't it all part of Will's character that he has his own set of values that he thinks give him more integrity, but actually get in the way? He doesn't think drugs are cool, he doesn't want to have sex unless it's with the right person, he would rather speak his mind and upset people than keep quiet and get on with everyone. He's actually a very believable character: intelligent, but also clueless.

What a fab episode, and not a let-down at all as I had feared it might be.

I was on the phone when Simon modelled those Speedos, and couldn't speak for laughing. I had to watch it again on +1 when the caller had gone :D

I had no idea this thread existed. I'm always posting in the 'inbetweeners tonight' one.

Thought tonight's episode was good. Jay has some classic lines. :D

EDIT: just seen that I have posted in here before.
