In your opinion, what cartoon has the coolest animation style ever?

In your opinion, what cartoon has the coolest art and/or animation style ever? What cartoon characters and backgrounds looks the coolest? You could also mention movies. In my opinion, the following cartoons look really cool. The cartoons that look cool are South Park, 6teen, Stoked, The Garfield Show, Adventure Time With Finn and Jake, Code Lyoko, The Amazing Spiez!, Totally Spies!, and What's With Andy?.

People have confused the two numerous times, and I wanna make sure everyone is clear on that.

Animation is the way the characters move, not the way they look. That would be the art, i.e the character designs, backgrounds, colors, etc.

As much as you want to say about his cartoons, I really like Butch Hartman's style. Simplistic yet good looking.

In terms of characters' movements, I'm going to say Animaniacs. The animation is really fluid, even as the characters are speaking.

Flash is an interesting style to me. It's essentionally one-dimensional, but shows like Fosters and Skunk Fu (hey, I liked it) have proven that storytelling is a expandable medium that can enhance any animation style.

I like Superjail!'s, Invader Zim's, Samurai Jack's, and South Park's art styles. Oh, and Joe Murray's style too.

I agree especially in Danny Phantom, the colors look awesome! Especially when a ghost appears and the background gets all neon.
I also love the backgrounds in Adventure Time, cartoony yet beautiful.
As for animation, I'd have to say Generator Rex. It has awesome animation and wicked fight sequences.

I'd definitely have to give it to Avatar: The Last Airbender. Not just character designs, but scenery as well.

The Marvel-Sunbow productions from the 80s, most notably Transformers and G.I.Joe.

Pinocchio, the classic Disney version. The other Disney feature films from the 30's to 50's are wonderfull as well, and so are the Disney short films from that period (especially those from the 30's).

I really like how Batman: Brave and the Bold's character designs fit so well with the overall tone of the show. The animation is also almost unbelievably smooth.

Art style?

Definitely the classic 1940s/50s Disney/Warner/MGM style. My personal favorite by a huge long shot. Other styles I like can be seen in Ed, Edd and Eddy, Disney's TV stuff that was animated in Australia and the Ren and Stimpy cartoons animated by Carbunkle.

I'm probably confusing animation style with designs though. As far as actual designs?? Definitely the rounded old school look. And Spongebob and the Eds.

The Thief and the cobbler has probably the most complex animation style ever! And it was done w/out computers! Too bad they too it away from richard williams and gave it to miramax to butcher .
