GOOD...

Kate Winslet and Lenoardo Dicaprio - Titanic :sigh:

Edward Norton - Derek - American History X - EXCELLENT

Johnny Depp - Jack Sparrow - POTC

Tobey Maguire - Peter Parker/Spiderman - Spiderman

Jake Gyllenhaal - In anything he plays in..

Julia Robert's - Erin Brockovich - The only movie, I like her in.

Joaquin Phoenix - Anything he is in..

Dwight Yoakam - Doyle Hargraves - Sling Blade

Go - The Whole Cast Is Excellent..

Bad

AMEN.... Bad Acting & Singing.. IMHO

Kirsten Dunst - MJ - Spiderman

Jessica Simpson - Daisy Duke - TDOH- They should have sued...

Britney Spears - Lucy - Crossroads

Zac Efron - High School Musical 1 & 2 - He was OK, in Hairspray, but dull in these films.

Keira Knightley - Elizabeth - POTC

Good Casting: The cast of PotC (Johnny in any movie!), The Departed and Little miss sunshine

Bad: Jake Lloyd as Anakin Skywalker in episode one, he still frustrates me!

I'm going to hate myself a little for this because I believe in "let the actors be actors" but, SMG is Buffy. How can you cast her as a scared girl in the cursed house? It just didn't work. Then you have Jason Behr, aka, Max 'alien king' Evans as her also hopeless boyfriend and it works even less.

SMG was fun as Daphne but Scooby Doo is not meant to be taken seriously. Plus, SMG does cute so well. :D She does a lot of stuff well, being afraid of scareee curse is no longer one of them.

After watching Pride and Prejudice for the second time I have to say the entire cast were well cast, Keira was amazing as was Mr Darcy :sigh:

I've always felt that Nicholas Cage was not a good choice for the male lead in National Treasure. He's a great actor, but this role didn't fit him. He looked awkward. He seems much better suited as the tortured soul type like his character in Moonstruck.

Best - Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie as Carrie and Mrs. White in Carrie. They were terrifying, yet in my opinion, you (the viewer) sympathized a lot with Carrie. The kids were so mean to her the way they constantly made fun of her and picked on her. Mrs. White was a wacko.and Piper Laurie played that part so convincing and so well.

Also - Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd as Marty McFly and Doc Brown in Back To The Future. What a team those two made! Love the both of them. They played their roles so well that it made the viewers really believe they went through all that time traveling.

Worst - Shelly Duvall as Wendy Torrance in The Shining. She made the character so whimpy and whiny.

Vince Vaughn back then was considered a true up and coming talent after Swingers. Also, he played a maniac in Clay Pigeons called "Lester the Molester" and did a great job. With that, I can see why he was chosen to play Norman Bates. While it didn't turn out wonderful, I can see why he was casted.

I loved Kevin Costner in Bull Durham, The Upside of Anger and The Bodyguard. I don't mind him too much, but I agree he's not the best actor ever.

Vince Vaughn as Norman Bates in Psycho??? WTF are they kidding? That guy can barely act at the best of times let alone take on such an awesome creepy role as Norman Bates! BAD BAD idea whoever thought he would be good!

I think that the most inspirid casting decision was Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Prior to that film I wasn't a fan of his, but ESOTSM had a huge impact on me - a major part of it was that Jim Carrey got his delivery absolutely spot on with the mix of sad-sack and loveable. You could tell why Kate Winslet's character fell for him, but got fed up with him...it was a totally new side to him, I couldn't believe it. I don't think he gets enough credit!

I'm not sure about bad casting as yet, I'll get back to you when I do think of someone :)

Oh I totally agree on Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, also thought he did a great job as Ed Wood in Ed Wood.

You should check it out. It's an amazing film all around (Joan Allen is fierce) and he's really, really good in it.

I didn't like the choice for Lois Lane in the new Superman movie, she just seem weak next to the guy playing Clark/Superman.

Drew Barrymore - I thought she was all wrong for the part in Ever After. Her accent was awful and she looked very uncomfortable. But she was good in Never Been Kissed.

Halle Berry and Anna Paquin - All three X-men movies. I think that Angela Bassett would have made a terrific Storm.

Val Kilmer and Marlon Brando- The Island of Dr. Moreau. I don't know what they were doing but it sure wasn't acting. They probably showed up for the paycheck.

Oooh, for some best?

Anchorman -- Without these guys, it probably would've come off as completely not funny.
40 Year Old Virgin -- Everybody was perfect. Fricken jackpot.
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure -- Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves made this one of the greatest movies of all time. They're awesome together.
Brick -- The casting was great. Some people could've been replaced and I wouldn't have cared, but Nora Zehetner and Joseph Gordon Levitt reek of chemistry. Man, it hurts.
Simon Birch -- Amazing acting, brilliant movie; casting done right.
The Green Mile -- If you've seen the movie, you've got to agree.
Little Miss Sunshine -- See above.
Mysterious Skin -- Maybe I'm Joseph Gordon Levitt bias, but lets be honest; he made you feel. And I wish Brady Corbet was in more than friggin Thundercats or whatever.

A lot more. These are the ones that pop out right now.

Worst? Hm, there are a lot of movies I don't like.

Like someone said -- anything with Lindsay Lohan. Not a fan. Also, Hilary Duff. Yeah, and here's one most people won't agree on [ even though I don't like the movie enough in the first place to really care ]

High School Musical -- Vanessa Hudgens really irks me in that roll. As does her voice. Just my opinion. :D
Spiderman -- I'm so sick of Kirsten Dunst, and I can't stand her. Should've put Toby with someone so I could actually watch/enjoy the movies.

The guy that played Jean Baptiste in Perfume: A story of a murderer was just perfect for his role but Dustin Hoffmans accent really annoyed me in the movie.

Bad : the cast of Miami Vice, Colin Farrel just doesnt look the part!

Good: speaking of Colin, he was great in Phonebooth!
Also the whole cast of the illusionist, and Cristian Bale in the Prestige.
