In the Hispanic culture is lighter skin color considered more beautiful?

I am wondering if this an issue in Hispanic culture? I know it is in african American culture among some media blinded fools. Could you give me your opinion. I never see any of the darker complected Hispanics in te media. Maybe im just blind, but could an insider( so to speak) tell me? I really dont mean to be rude or racist I just wonder...
 
Hispanics don't really care about skin color, The most admired are the ones that are handsome and beautiful, the skin color doesn't really apply
