Remeraber the Republicans Mantra to the world after 9/11 that if you are not with us then you are against us, and “Freedom Fries” I remeraber George W. Bush at ground zero with the bull horn and the Republicans wrapping themselves in the American Flag promising “Firefighters” and “Policemen“, and “EMT” ( Union workers) how they would never forget their sacrifice.
Remeraber all the flack Barack Obama got for not wearing an American Flag pin in his lapel, and how he must be un-American, or a terrorist sympathizer, and Michele Bachmann’s call for Democrats to be investigated for their un-American views.
Then there’s the right wing echo charaber with Fox News and conservative radio host stoking the flames of racial and religious differences in this country for personal and professional gain. Mind you, this is the party whose patriotism, and love for this Country is supposedly beyond reproach “ Country First“ was John McCain‘s campaign slogan.
Yet everything they say and do says others wise, you can say what you want it’s what you do or don’t do that really counts.
If these Republicans love the country as much as they claim to then why are they doing things that they know will hurt the country, case in point turning down government stimulus money that could put hurting Americans back to work and get the economy moving.
I guess that would be too much like helping President Obama and god knows the Republicans cannot do that no matter how bad the middle class is hurting.I know the argument against the stimulus money, we cannot afford it and it is adding to our debt, so is giving millionaires billions of dollars worth of tax cuts, and paying for a war we were lied into but I guess as long as the money is not going to the people that really need help that‘s okay by Republicans.
At least taking the stimulus money to build the rail system won’t get anyone killed and it might, just might put people back to work which means they will have money to shop and that in turn will help get the economy moving. In the last ten years the Republican party with it’s policies and refusal to work with the Democrats have done more to hurt this country then any outside enemy could ever do.
