the same individual? We all know Flutie executed a drop kick by himself, but can only one person execute a drop kick or can two individuals execute it together? So that, one person takes the snap and drops the ball and the other person kicks.

It's a risk / reward. You can line up in more a shotgun spread style formation and then have the "QB" drop and the "RB / K" kick. This leaves fewer defenders for a block attempt. Or if the Wideouts aren't covered, throw to them.

However, I disagree, I think if executed properly it could be just as fast as an extra point if the K is using a two step high-arc style.

I agree that a normal Extra Point Attempt or Field Goal is more secure but thinking outside the box.

I don't think there would be anything illegal about doing it that way. I just can't imagine why anybody would want to. It's easier for the person kicking the ball to drop it, because he knows how he wants it to drop and when he intends to kick it off the bounce.

i think by definition a drop kick requires you to drop and kick the ball yourself.

I'm pretty sure it's only one, it is possible to kick the ball after it landed on the ground but it's very difficult, alot of it has to do with timing, you want to kick the ball right when the ball is leaning before it completely tips over. This is also how they score field goals in rugby.

hmm? It doesn't really specify in my book I have so IDK, but either way dropping it yourself is soo much easier!
