Impossible, platonic love...

This is kinda hard to say. With the way the show is going, it's hard to tell if any character development in the earlier seasons still counts. But it should be known that Trixie somewhat likes/liked Timmy back, but she doesn't/didn't actually show it due to her friends not likely to accept it.

Harold and Leshawna's relationship in TDI is pretty one-sided. Lehsawna only likes Harold as a friend, but Harold thinks it's the real deal.

Really? I thought they tried their best to make it 'subtle' while being painfully obvious. Then again, it could depend on which version.

Wow, I didn't expect that I'd bring up an anime but... maybe the Kouta/Yuka/Lucy love triangle from Elfen Lied could suffice? I know the manga tells a different story, but the anime gave off the feel that Kouta was a bit hesitant and unsure of whether or not he liked Yuka the same way she liked him.

ALSO, in Superjail!, Warden's crush on Alice. Alice doesn't seem at all interested in him... poor Warden. XD

..Man all the good ones have been used up & the only one I can think of right now...Well thats not a place I wanna go.(even if it is bleach related):o

Ummm,,,,,,,Well On Naruto There Hinata who likes Naruto & Naruto Who likes sakura...both of those are unrequainted love...

& Then Poor Old Tobi Just wants to be Friends with the other Ataksuki but everybody Treats him bad....Its ok Tobi...I'll be your friend!

Oh & the Trix Rabbit loves Trix but those mean ol kids won't let them be together...it so sad!:crying:

and thats all I can think of...:p

Well, as much as I hate the episodes focusing solely on Brian's love life, I am not going to stop watching the show, but remember, sometimes something even fictional goes a long way, and maybe they should not stop the bestiality thing (as if they would), but they should stop making every episode about Brian and whoever is his in love life, give the other characters some credit for a change, and stop making everything about Brian, or even Stewie and Peter for that matter, really.

You're slowly but surely shifting this discussion into a general complaint thread about what you don't like about Family Guy. Let's try to stay on topic here, as this forum needs another anti Family Guy rant like Flava Flav needs another gold tooth.

Why must you always bash my opinions in almost every thread I respond to, do you enjoy it or something? If you insist on bashing someone's opinions, then go bash someone else, will you? I am most definitely entitled to my opinions, no matter what they may be, and you are actually the one who started it not me, god, and what are you some kind of moderator? If I am doing something wrong, then let me hear it from a moderator not from you. You are not a guru, you know, man!

Looneytunes/Disneytoons

Um 'bash'? That's not 'bashing'. That's stating a completely reasonable opinion... actually not even an opinion, it's in the rules that you shouldn't be going so off-topic to begin with, which I know I helped fuel, and I apologize for that.

If you're entitled to your opinion, why are you suggesting that Blackstar not be entitled to theirs? True, it is annoying for members to act as backseat mods, but this is more of just a member finding annoyance in the topic derailing into your own issues with Family Guy, which I completely agree, this is not the place for it. Plus the argument is really tiring.

The topic is to discuss platonic love, not your opinions on bestiality. Please just drop the subject, we don't need any flame wars here. No offense, but that was a really uncalled for post and honestly, that's just being rude. If you don't like hearing other people's opinions, then you don't have to post here. It's that simple.

Now back on topic, did anyone mention the whole Kitten and Robin sort of thing on Teen Titans?

The wha....?? Are you serious? Is he serious??

My pointing out that someone (in this case, you) is drifting off-topic is neither bashing, nor is it an opinion. How could you interpret what I typed there as "bashing"? Seriously, tell me. I would like to know. And while you're at it, tell me also why it is that you can't read any kind of response that doesn't second any opinion that you have without overreacting. Everything is not about you, you know.

I never said that you weren't entitled to your opinion, but what do your criticisms about Family Guy or your stance on bestiality have to with the topic of impossible platonic love? Please think about that and give me an answer. Furthermore, if you have personal issues with me, you should address them to me via a PM, rather than turn the thread into a public spectacle. I certainly don't get my "jollies" by criticizing you, if that is indeed what you're implying. I think that you seriously need to chill out and stop interpreting every single statement as a personal attack.

O-k, I re-read the entire thread, and I might have sidetracked on the thing between Lois and Brian. I was not the one who originally brought it up, but I did sidetrack by making a comment about it. I do not enjoy fighting with you, either, and I know everything is not about me, I do not want everything to be about me, though I want my share in life, and I do want people to respect my opinions, but if I am getting sidetracked, then just tell me instead of letting me ramble on about whatever is being sidetracked, then telling me that my opinions are not of the majority. They may not be, but they are not bad, either. Anyway, I am starting to see a tradition here, I reply to a certain post, whether it may be, and I make a comment, which encourages me to be sidetracked, and then you come in and decide to counteract my opinions, when you should just be telling me that I am being sidetracked from the get go, that is all I ask. Anyway, once again, I am sorry to embarrass you, and I do not want to be your enemy either. I just expect others to respect my opinions, they do not have to agree with them, and tell me when I am being sidetracked from the get go instead of just letting me ramble on, then being cornered about it. Do you understand?

Looneytunes/Disneytoons

Its Ok to get sidetracked every now & then, & I was thinking of the disscusion about SONIC & FG that was going on recently, about the Furrys and such,,,I did some research & Technically someone who finds furrie attractive is called a "Furvert" I find the word rather punny, * then I got to thinking im a big sonic fan, mabaye even a fan of furries, but that doesn't make me a furvert...I mean I think some of the female characters our cool, I mean BLaze is a cat that controls fire for petes sake...THATS awsome! anyway, what I think about the subject is that furverts our no diffrent then those anime fans that find anime & cartoon girls attractive, Technically its all lust, still one of the 7 deadly sins no matter what form its in..All im saying is although,,,even a guy like me finds it a little odd I don't think there going to burn for it, nor do i think they promote..the B word, they just liking what they like....even if it is...somewhat disturbing.  :p

TripleS, I cannot write a response to your post easily for some strange reason, so here is one.

First off, you are not a moderator, you are a poster, know the difference, and if I am doing something wrong, a moderator will tell me, not a poster.

Second, I may have gotten sidetracked, but as you said, you helped fuel it, so I am not entirely to blame, and I am sure we all have gotten sidetracked at least once in a while, you included.

Third, I am not saying Blackstar is not entitled to their opinions. I just do not agree with them, and instead of telling me I am sidetracking, which they should have done from the get go, Blackstar decided to spoil the conservation by letting me go on. I do not also know if you have noticed, but I apologized to Blackstar and gave him a considerate explanation with what I think happened.

Fourthly, I know what the topic is. True, I got sidetracked, but as I earlier said, you are the one who originally mentioned Brian and Lois, so I am not entirely to blame, and I may be causing flame wars, but that was not my intention. It is not as if I said, "hey, Blackstar, let us discuss "Family Guy", I do not like what Brian is doing." Blackstar decided to respond to my comment about Brian and Lois, so I had to reply, and that is what caused it. If Blackstar told me, "Looneytunes, you are getting sidetracked, this is not what the topic is about." I would have stopped. Do not take sides, buddy.

Finally yet importantly, I do not think I was being rude at all. I cannot believe you would even have such audacity to tell me I was, and I think if there is any post in this thread that was really uncalled for, it is your post that I am responding to, wow talk about embarrassment. You know, if you just needed to reply to my post so bad, you could have done it in a much more respectable manner, wow, but maybe this a lesson to all of us.

Looneytunes/Disneytoons

But I DID reply in a respectable manner. Your post was you complaining about Blackstar as if they said something horrifically insulting. It's not a 'bash', it's a factual statement fueled by an opinion, whether harsh or not, it's not at all against the rules.

A poster has the ability to tell you if you're not following the rules just as well, which is why a poster has the full ability to use the Report button. A moderator just has more power in the matter, so they can delete your post, edit your post, or suspend/ban your account depending. There's nothing wrong with a member just giving a good, ol' reminder. Not every mod can be able to keep up with what goes on on the forum, so you can't assume responsibility only on them. Trust me, I've been a mod before, and I'm not talking about one of those low-populated free forums, so I can tell you how relieving it must be to have a member help you keep up with what goes on in the forums.

The point being is that arguing about this is not making you look any bit better, it's only making you look even worse. It's better to just drop it and move on, or else you'll end up making a big deal out of nothing.

... I didn't originally mention them. o.O I just jumped into the conversation later on.

I am not arguing to make myself look better, I am trying to rationalize with you, but I guess you do not want to pay attention to that, so I am going to disregard your words. If you are going to disregard what I say, then I honestly see no reason why I should regard yours.
