I wonder what i need to change IMEI on a Z500.
what for cable and what software I need to do this?

am having same prob with data interface ca someone explain what data interface is comes up not installed on win xp pro twice using ns dongle to change imei on z500 any help appreciated
 
Hallo people I have a question and I need your help please.
I bought a Samsung SGH-Z500 on the internet and it was standard with Vodaphone firmware.

I read that there was better firmware than that, so I flashed it to a better and newer version with MultiLoader 1.6

I used the instructions on this site:

In MultiLoader I dowloaded the EFS as well in my phone, but I didn't knew that it deletes the IMEI on the GSM.
*#06# "IMEI not active" -> can I activate it?

I have read this tread, but I don't manage to get my IMEI back on the phone. I tried with NsDongle and have installed the USB drives.

I hope that somebody can help me to get the IMEI back on the phone.

after install driver. i get Qualcomm diagnostics interface 3197 (com129)
but nsdongle only has com 1 to 4 to select. i get buffer overrun when select those with computer com 1 pin2 & 3 shoerted. if not, i get can not open com port 128 from nsdongle.
can you explain more in detail as to how to change imei on z500v please?

@fanbang: use device manager to change com port assignment. The method shown in this thread works. One tip: insert sim card.

Specially many many thanks to Amir-Skillz for posting this important thread. I would like to add something that very important when you change IMEI change most of the case that freez. After changing IMEi just go back to original USB CDMA setting. Then make short of Serial Com port pin no 2&3, than unlock it again by NSdongle patch it work with new created IMEI. Check your Local law before you change iMei, GOOD LUCK
 
install driver 1st
start nsdongle
choose z500
write imei
input imei
connect cable to phone
click ok.
if it doesn't work 1st time. then just go over again and again and again....... it took me long time as well. Eventually it worked.
 
my phone is Z500AEEI2, and COM PORTs are,

Qualcomm diagnostics Interface 3197 (COM51)
Qualcomm Proprietary USB Modem (PID 3197) (COM50)

with NSDOBGLE CRACKED,

- when selecting Z500 and com 50 it sasy

CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT IS THE PROBLEM HERE! PLEASE HELP URGENT! I NEED TO CHANGE Z500V IMEI URGENT!

With original Z500 cable works also. Use code above to select Qualcomm USB, install the drivers and insert SIM in phone. Select in NS Dongle the right COM port and done.

Finally it was an easy thing

On XP open Hardware....
Sort by connection....
look at USB components.

Qualcomm proprietary modem was set to com4 !!!!!!
Qualcomm diagnostic interface was set to com7 !!!!!!

*#123580#, choose qualcomm

install .inf inside NS-Dongle directory.

connect phone (check in XP-Hardware)

open NS-Dongle and choose COM7 !!!!!!

you "must not" read data, just write EMEI, otherwise you get an error


PS: Is there anybody who can code me the new BT address

My EMEI is 356456/00/048714/4
